White-Label Portal Teardown: WMN Studio's Enterprise Hand-Off

We rebuilt WMN Studio’s onboarding sequence so their enterprise clients feel like they just signed with a 15-person agency. Here is the teardown you can steal for your own portal.

Prep the space before the ink dries

WMN sends a “Portal coming in 24 hours” email right after signature. Behind the scenes we duplicate their Pinna template, drop in the client logo, and pre-fill milestones tied to statement-of-work deliverables.

Every card already has owners, dates, and draft assets so the first impression is momentum, not configuration screens.

Script the first walkthrough

The kickoff call literally follows the order of the portal: Overview, Live Deliverables, Feedback Queue, Billing. Each section already contains short Looms and written context so executives can revisit without another meeting.

Internal-only notes stay in the private tab, which means WMN can track dependencies while the client only sees polished updates.

Instrument the follow-up

Within two hours of the kickoff, decision makers receive a recap email generated from portal data. It links back to the same subdomain, includes next approvals, and highlights the upcoming invoice.

Any time a milestone flips state, the client portal surfaces it at the top with a “What changed” summary—no digging, no Slack chase.

Takeaway

The portal is the deliverable. Treat it like a launch product and clients will happily pay for the experience.
